Investigative, documents-driven reporting is a time-consuming and costly endeavor. We file hundreds of public records requests a year and spend hours each week inspecting state and local government documents and databases, talking to sources and attending meetings and hearings.

One of our goals for Veritas NM is to build a sustainable business model as quickly as possible. We will be exploring innovative fund-raising strategies in the coming weeks.
